"These are the times that try men's souls.
The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country;
but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of men and women."

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

and other insane ramblings

Tardis's have landed here.

tarline

Before we get into the world of fantasy here within, there is an even greater world of reality around us that demands our attention at this time. I would like to express my sincerest sympathies to all of those who have lost family and / or friends in the recent disasters of September 11, 2001, in both New York and Washington, and also in the plane crash that occurred in Pennsylvania. I would like to express my sincerest "Thanks," no matter how inadequate it may be, to those individuals who have given their time and efforts and thus risked / gave their lives in order to help and / or save someone else. These people deserve everyone's greatest admiration!

Here is something that I received by e-mail from an "old" high-school classmate. I feel that it is most appropriate and expresses the feelings of those who have participated in the rescue and clean up process:

A Rescuer's Prayer

Lord, we are not here to be a hero or to be seen on T.V.
We are here to serve a purpose: to save a human being.

Amidst the death and destruction give us strength to carry on.
Let the light of your love shine as the whole country mourns.

Give our ears the sensitivity to hear the faintest sound.
Give us courage to keep going until the last person is found.

Even though we know so many precious lives were lost,
We will bring them home to their loved ones, no matter what the cost.

The walls may crash in around us and the skies may turn deathly gray
But we will go back to ground zero......another day.

HEAR the Doctor

the doc is in

I am a Time-Lord and I travel thru cyberspace in my TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space machine...which looks suspiciously like a blue British Police Call Box) with my trusty robot dog - K-9 Mark III.
K-9

tardis

As for the TARDIS, it's bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. I seek adventure never quite knowing exactly where I will land and what creatures I will encounter, although I do seem to spend a good deal of time on the earth. I originate from Gallifrey, the center of the universe, where all of us Time-Lords reside.

Come and join me in my quest for adventure and share my escapades - I especially enjoy outsmarting the Daleks, Davros, Cybermen, Zygon, Mummy Robots, and (the evil Time-Lord) The Master, to name a few of my worthy opponents.

THE WORKING CONSOLE

The TARDIS interior appears to be larger than its exterior due to the fact that the interior is located in a different dimension from that of the ordinary physical universe. The main control interface for the TARDIS is a hexagonal console located at the center of the Master Control Room.

The TARDIS is run by a powerful computer, nearly a sentient organism in its own right. This computer has a telepathic bond with its primary operator, and is thus made easier to operate in case of minor errors in computation. This link between the Doctor and the TARDIS is extremely strong.

ANOTHER VIEW OF THE CONSOLE

The TARDIS has a very extensive and complicated system of circuitry and computer systems. Naturally from time to time malfunctions will occur. The TARDIS Tool Kit is stored in the Master Control Room. The TARDIS Tool Kit contains many tools and devices which allows maintenance and repairs to made to the TARDIS. Their uses are many and all have their own power source.

Among the tools found in the Tool Kit are the Master Drone Clamp, the Laser, the PenTARDIS Tool Kit Torch, the Universal Detector, the Neutron Ram, the Influx Booster Stabiliser, the Stalos Gyro, the Moog Drone Clamp, the Magnetic Clamp, and the Sonic Screwdriver. These tools, with the exception of the Pen Torch and Laser, are all highly advanced instruments of technology. Their uses are various and highly adaptable.

All of these tools are kept together a special case. This case is opened by activating the personalised touch sensitive lock, which can be set by holding the pressure pads for three seconds. There is no pre-existing lock code if the toolkit has never before been used. When the indicator lights turn to blue, hold your thumb against the pressure pad for five seconds. During this time, the three indicator lights will slowly turn from blue to amber. When all three indicator lights have turned to amber, remove your thumb from the pressure pad. The lights will turn back to green, and flash twice to indicate a successful lock code has been established. Subsequently green operational lights indicate that all equipment is functioning normally.

It is strongly recommended that major repairs not be attempted. The TARDIS should be returned to Gallifrey at the first sign of any major fault. If this is not possible then the TpCL should be used to contact Gallifrey and summon help.

If a minor fault develops in a circuit, it is sometimes possible to replace the whole circuit with a spare. In the event there is no spare part available, the tools from the TARDIS Tool Kit can be utilised to fix a component. Standard descriptions and guidelines of the tools provide reasonble knowledge with which to sucessfully repair a damaged component. Finally, it is strongly recommended not to exchange circuits and components with other type 40 models other than the one in question. Circuits from the forthcoming type 41 may not be compatible with type 40.

Since I am a renegade Time-Lord with a "borrowed" TARDIS, I simply do not choose to follow these procedures as they are described. I frequently find myself making repairs, both minor and major. Unfortunately, eventho I am a brillant person (and modest, too, I may add), I am not always mechanically inclined. Consequently many of these repairs are jerry-rigged and only temporary in nature. That is one of the reasons that I frequently find myself in unusual places and situations. (Speaking of unusual places, can you imagine how difficult it is for the TARDIS to blend into its surroundings with the chameleon circuit having frozen it into the shape of a blue British Police Box? Most unsettling, I assure you!!!)

NOW COMPLETED: dr.who's  Sonic Screwdriver,ETC.

I have, as I intended for quite some time now, completed my elaboration on the contents of the TARDIS Tool Kit. Herein I have clarified the various uses of each of the tools within the kit. I have begun with a full description of the ever-so-useful Sonic Screwdriver. I also included the available pictures and diagrams of each of these tools as I was able. I sincerely hope that this information will prove to be informative in nature and even possibly useful to you if you ever find yourself stranded somewhere in the universe in your own TARDIS and in need of making emergency repairs! Keep in mind also that if you, too, are a renagade Time-Lord such as I, the Time-Lords of Gallifrey do take quite a dim view of one's "borrowing" one of their Time And Relative Dimensions In Space machines -- even one as old as the one that I "borrowed".

I am most appreciative of those of you that did not hold your breath while awaiting on the completion of this project. Thank you for your patience as you kept in mind when I had said previously, "in the near future," that for someone who is at least 846 years old, time is relative. However, I did make every effort to remember that I am generally dealing with humans here, and I made a sincere effort to expedite this process!

NOW, before I get ready to jump back into my TARDIS and ZOOOOOOOOM off into cyberspace, I leave you with this:

Some time ago I lost my old GuestBook: I am absolutely clueless as to whut happened to it, but suddenly I could not make connection thru the established link. Since I could not find where they went I completely revamped a NEW GuestBook which I myself customized. I have also included a short (well, all right, maybe not so short) survey that I hope each of you will complete as you sign the GuestBook. If you have signed my GuestBook in the past, I would appreciate it if you would sign again since all those entries went whatever way the old GuestBook did, hmmmmmm....now that I thimk on the matter, the old GuestBook was probably stolen by my nemesis The Master and is probably now lost in the fartherest reaches of the universe!!!
